Qianmen Street is one of the most important commercial streets in beijing. It was built in 1550. Government rebuilt the Qianmen street in the year 2008. New Qianmen Street is not open for public traffic, it is a pedestrian street, the only vehicle on this street is railroad car. there are over 800 shops on this street, and 80 of them are hundreds of years old. Jewellery market is also a very marked characteristic of Qianmen street.
