Yesterday We Brought You Online Reaction To The Row Between The Delegations From Mainland China And Taiwan At The Opening Of Tokyo International Film Festival. The Spat Began Minutes Before The Gala Walk Along The Green Carpet Was To Begin. That’s When Head Of The Mainland Delegation, Jiang Ping, Insisted That Taiwan Must Be Referred To As "China's Taiwan" Or "Chinese Taipei". (Take Vid). Head Of The Taiwanese Delegation Chen Chih-Kuan Refused Saying That That Art Should Be Kept Separate From Politics And Pointing Out That Taiwan Had Competed In Numerous Similar Festivals Under The Same Name. Despite Jiang Saying That China Would Boycott Festival Events And Had Withdrawn The Nine Films That Were To Be Screened The Festival Hosts Insist Representatives From China And Taiwan Have Pledged To Stay In Tokyo For The Whole Festival.
