With a sub-tropical coastal climate, and a cleaner environment than many other larger cities, Xiamen is considered one of China’s most pleasant places to live.
But now, as BON’S Andrew Livingstone reports, changes are underway to make it a more pleasant place to do business as well.
You may remember a month ago we went online to gauge Chinese reaction to the debt crisis facing the Euro-zone and Greece in particular. Comments were generally unsympathetic, the general consensus being that Euro-zone countries got themselves into this mess, and that helping big welfare states was just a waste of time.
But Chinese government and businesses apparently think otherwise. China has recently signed a number of business deals with Greece worth billions of Euros which will see cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields, including shipping, tourism and telecommunications.
