China is among the first countries to mass produce H1N1 flu vaccines. But the question is - how safe are they?

Well, a recent survey shows that more than half the Chinese population don’t plan to get the flu shots. In today’s BON feature ,we take an in-depth look at the vaccine’s safety risks, and find out what people here in China think about it.

These days Caesarean or C-section births are a relatively common and often life-saving procedure. And extremely safe when carried out correctly and under the right conditions.

But in many developed countries the number of such births is on the rise. And often the procedure is carried out as much for convenience - very often for the hospital which can then schedule births – as for medical reasons.

Students at one school in northern China are being forced to leave the safety of their dormitories for crowded rented housing. Why? Well it turns out that the dormitories aren't in fact as safe as they should be. And with lingering memories of schools collapsing in the 2008 Sichuan earthquake the school authorities feel it's a case of better safe than sorry. But, as BON's Neela Eyunni reports, not everyone's happy with the decision.
