Previously on BON we brought you the story of Katie Cramer, a 16 year old girl born to a mother from the Zhuang minority people here in China and adopted by an American family. Katie has leukemia, for which she needs a bone marrow transplant. They couldn't find a matching donor in the U.S., so when we last brought you her story, her mother had come to China in the hopes of publicizing her daughter's cause, and convincing people in Katie's hometown to register for marrow donation. BON's Matt Schrader caught up with her for a phone interview to ask her where the search for a match stands now.
